Financial Statements (Version 13.01)

Improvements

ExcelLENS Financial Statements : New automatisations have been added to take into account the new standards.

  • A new Copy the New Letter(s) menu has been added to ExcelLENS in order to import the new presentation letters for private enterprises. Moreover, an option in the Company Information window allows you to enter the private enterprises. When using this option, the presentation letters are automatically adjusted.
  • A new Show/Hide the Opening Balance Sheet menu has been added to ExcelLENS in order to show or hide the Opening Balance Sheet column in the Balance Sheet worksheet. When the Opening Balance Sheet column is displayed, the notes related to the balance sheet should use the sections containing “with opening balance sheet”, which are available with the update of the Notes Library.

Highlights

New Features

Highlights Report : The Highlights report gives an overview of the company’s situation, from the reports you have prepared beforehand. Here is a preview of the new features in this report:

  • Possibility of selecting texts and tables, besides the graphs already available. The addition of a text editor offers the possibility of inserting and formatting text in the report zones. Moreover, texts entered can also be saved for future use. Also, during the report production in PDF file, texts will be faithfully reproduced.
  • Complete revision of zones management: validation of the display space available according to the selected object. The report can now contain texts, sectors, histograms, bars as well as tables.
  • Addition and definition of icons in the ratio which will then be displayed in the highlights. Thus, an icon associated with a ratio allows to quickly view the meaning of the ratio.
  • Customization of the object disposition by page with the addition of objects dimensions.
  • Highlights display in a report and in a PDF file.

Graphs

New Feature

Table format graphs : Graphs are now available in table format. Moreover, it is possible to customize the cells’ colours and the headings in the table format graph. The elements’ descriptions can also be modified.

Financial Calculator

Improvement

New options available : Two options have been added to the financial calculator: Fixed Capital Payment and Additional Payments.

Advanced Search

New Feature

Cumulative values : In a display format, an option can be activated in order to cumulate the value of the field and to display the result in the search window. Thus, in the search report, the presence of a cumulated field will bring an additional column to display the result.

Transactions detail : The detail of the transactions resulting from an advanced search operation can now be obtained in a display format. Thus, by selecting the Display transaction postings option, each part of the transactions included in the advanced search report can now be obtained in display format.

Posting to fiscal impact account : The fiscal impact account names are now displayed instead of their account number. This makes the consultation easy and allows to quickly identify the accounts.

Reports

Improvement

Report criteria : From now on, criteria used to generate a report can be displayed on top or at the bottom of each report.

64 bits Compatibility

New Feature

The present version is now compatible with Windows’ 64 bits operating system. However, Microsoft Office’s 64 bits version is not supported.

Access to Complete Client Data: A Necessity

Given the difficulty of obtaining client data, until now, you settled for analyzing trial balances, consulting list of transactions and performing other long and tedious operations that slowed down the completion of your engagements.

This white paper discusses how access to complete client data is now necessary to improving the efficiency with which you perform your engagements. It allows you to see how existing technology can help you save time in each of the engagement process, from data collection to document production. Using these techniques, you can perform data analysis tasks that were next to impossible to do manually. The document also outlines the ideal system for collecting your clients' accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable data.
