Over 18 years ago, I started working at Accovia as the first face and voice representing the company – reception. It was here that I realized I wanted to work more closely with our customers. With confidence and determination I was able to demonstrate via many success stories my customer management skills and was rewarded with the opportunity to grow in over 6 different positions, all of which involved working directly with our customers. I have always received tremendous support and encouragement from the Management team which in turn has kept me motivated and pushed me to continually strive for excellence. Today, I am motivated with new challenges and management responsibilities involving the life cycle of a customer relationship (sales, business development, and customer service). I love my work and a big part of that is due to this company; the continued support, recognition and respect by Management, and the people I have the pleasure of working with on a daily basis. All this combined inspires me to continually perform at my best and persevere in my commitment to ensuring that we provide quality to our customers.

My skills and knowledge have grown since I’ve been with GFI, because my employer allows me to develop and gain new experiences. My work tasks are focused first and foremost on satisfying our clients. I either provide them with ways to better control our software, or I develop solutions to problems that they encounter in their daily work. Since our first concern is to ensure our clients’ satisfaction, teamwork and collaboration are essential components of our day-to-day work with both our colleagues and our clients.

Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to hold several positions, from receptionist-secretary and customer service representative to recruitment advisor, up to my current position as an accounts payable and receivable clerk. These different experiences have allowed me to learn about and to understand several facets of the company. I am grateful to GFI for having allowed me to move between those departments, and for allowing me to quench my thirst for new knowledge and to perform interesting and varied tasks.

My work consists of defining, structuring, recommending and supporting the implementation of the best solutions possible, based on my client’s needs and situation. I specialize in the financial area, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with client relations, loan management, cheque processing and real estate systems. I especially enjoy this diversity – each project raises new challenges that measure up to my ambitions. By working at my clients’ offices, I get to be a part of multidisciplinary teams made up of highly skilled people who push me to excel. In addition, all year long, GFI allows me to stay in touch with my colleagues and supervisors through follow-up meetings, semi-annual progress reports, training and information sessions, as well as social activities. Finally, I would like to point out that despite its rapid growth, GFI has remained a company that is deeply attached to its values of integrity and respect.

What I really enjoy about my work are the numerous challenges that I have to tackle and all the new knowledge that I get to acquire. I especially appreciate the great deal of variety in my work, which means that each day is different from the next. I work in a rewarding environment with colleagues who strive to improve the well-being of employees.
