Chip and PIN: the challenge of managing point-of-sale terminals across Canada

By 2015, all merchants in Canada will have to convert their point-of-sale terminals (POS) to accept chip cards. In all, 600,000 terminals will have to be replaced, maintained or upgraded. A comprehensive and integrated approach should be used to ensure that consumers and merchants see this huge migration in a positive light.
