SOLUTIONS WINS A MERCURIADES 2007 AWARD
Consulting firm takes home the "Financial, Real Estate and Professional Services" award.
GFI Solutions, a leading IT consulting company, is proud to announce that it has been selected as a winner of the 2007 Mercuriades competition, in the "Financial, Real Estate and Professional Services - Large Business" category. GFI was also selected as a finalist for the coveted "Business of the year" award, which however eluded them this year.

Organized by Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ), the Mercuriades is Québec’s most popular and prestigious competition dedicated to recognizing businesses that demonstrate exceptional performances, entrepreneurship and excellence. This year, 13 organizations were honoured with awards, during a gala event that took place at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal on April 11th, and which was attended by 1,000 distinguished members of the Québec business community.

GFI SOLUTIONS PRESIDENT FINALIST FOR PRESTIGIOUS ERNST & YOUNG AWARDS
Gilles Létourneau, President of GFI Solutions Inc, has been selected as a finalist for the 13th annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® awards. Mr. Létourneau is one of only 3 finalists in the Technology and Communication category, for the region of Québec. Organizers of the awards program received over 300 nomination requests this year, demonstrating the growing recognition of this award since its launch in 1993. Winners will be announced at a gala hosted by Ernst & Young in Montreal on October 26th.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year awards honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, risk taking, company development, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Létourneau was one of the original founders of GFI Solutions, and under his leadership the firm has grown to include over 400 employees and generate close to $50M in annualized revenues. The firm has also earned an impeccable reputation for the quality of its IT consulting services.
In announcing the Québec region finalists for 2006, François Dufresne, director of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program in Québec and partner at Ernst & Young stated, "The wealth of great visionaries in Québec continues to build our Québec and Canadian economies, and in many cases grow the global marketplace as well. GFI SOLUTIONS DEBUTS IN THE BRANHAM300 AS ONE OF CANADA’S TOP 25 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES COMPANIES
GFI Solutions, one of Québec’s leading IT consulting firms, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of Canada’s "Top 25 Professional Services Companies" in the 2007 edition of the Branham300. Now in its 14th year, The Branham300 is considered by many to be the most comprehensive and trusted indicator of the health of the Canadian IT industry.
GFI Solutions, which is listed for the first time this year, ranked 21st amongst 65 services firms. In a category dominated by Ontario-based companies, GFI stood out as one of only 3 Quebec-based companies to secure a position in the Top 25.

GFI SOLUTIONS WINS THE DESJARDINS FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL PERFORMANCE AWARD
Consulting firm garners 2nd award this month, following its Mercuriades win
Leading IT consulting company, GFI Solutions, is pleased to announce that it has won the Desjardins Entrepreneurship Prize, in the "Financial and Social Performance, Western Québec Region" category. The award was presented to GFI yesterday afternoon during the "Grands Enjeux SECOR / Les Affaires" event in Montréal. GFI had also recently won a Mercuriades award for "Financial, Real Estate and Professional Services", during the 27th annual Mercuriades event, which took place last week.
According to its website, Desjardins recognized GFI for its contributions to the consulting sector: "…The company has steadily grown despite the ups and downs of the information technology industry, allowing it to be involved in the community through a large number of activities, sponsorships and donations to a variety of organizations."
